I worry as education budget cuts happen it seems our art classes are always on the chopping block. I wish that would change. Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us and good luck with the contest.

Author,
This is an excellent six-word contest entry.
I like the way you incorporate your author, Harte, into your six words.
I studied American Lit in college, but I never came across this writer. (I will have to search my Kindle account for this author.
Excellent poem,
Best wishes, Cindy

My sincere thanks, to you, Cindy! I must admit, my wording did confuse a small number of readers, and in all truth, this was somewhat of a driving challenge for me to create a proper mixture of only six words, including an illustration, and arrange them in such a manner to cast a clear, 3-dimensional shadow of a sweet daydream. Thank you, sincerely, for your very kind review!

An excellent entry for the 6 Word Poetry contest. You've done a great job choosing just the right 6 words to create a perfect image and sentiment. Good luck in the contest and with your continued writing.

Hey there, Sue! Long time no see! A beautiful poem for your return, and dang if you didn't just win the contest! A beauty in only 6 words. Jewell McChesney's art takes this over the top. You've excelled!
Sending you my best today as always, and my very best wishes in the 6 word poetry contest.

Hi , sueswrite. I hope you are well
This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that!!
I learned more from your notes than I did from the poem, which is common with the short poems.
These really short poems don't have enough verbiage around them to be clear so the notes are important
Here did you mean heart compelled?
Harte compelledL
I enjoyed reading your poem
Good job. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for your kind comments and interest. You are so right as how only a few words can be difficult to absorb the broad message intended, and yes, it is an advantage to be able to give explanation outside of the poetry itself. "Harte" compelled, refers to being inspired by the famous writer, Mr. Bret Harte. Next, "Heart" swelled, referring to the desire, and lastly, "Art" excelled, is the result of inspiration, compassion and finally, creation. I hope this does make sense. Lol! Thank you, once again!

I'm loving the matching rhymes and sentiment here as art often enhances our lives and when we surround ourselves with pleased objects we feel happier, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

My sincere thanks to you for your wonderful compliments! This was a bit of a challenge, arranging words with the correct meanings, including a rhyming pattern, and completing with an understanding of the intended statement, all in six words! LOL! Thank you again!
