I wish we had hummingbirds this side of the water, they're so pretty.
You can be sure you're memory of that day can recall the sights and sounds far more vividly than a photo ever could.

I'm no good with the digital cameras, but I can understand why you'd want to capture the moment. The bird perching on your husband's shoulder would have made a wonderful picture. At least you can treasure and remember the moment. Hummingbirds are so sweet. At least you can treasure and remember the moment. Hummingbirds are so sweet. What a sweet story! And one I relate with. It didn't always used to be that way though, for me. That feeling of "Dang! I wish I had my camera." It's happened a few times, when I wish I'd gotten my camera out. One was when a humpback whale was less than 50 feet in front of my kayak. I didn't get it out, because I knew I'd probably drop my phone in the water. But it was so cool nonetheless. Turns out my friend who was with me in her kayak got HER phone wet trying to get a picture, and then MISSED the picture. Awful. So I guess I made the right decision. All those moments, that only reside now in our internal hard-drive. LOL!

I remember that scene. I think you told us this before. The red and pink colors are the favorite of the hummingbirds. I guess that hummingbird thought your husband was the biggest flower he'd ever seen! Best wishes in the contest!
