I didn't discover how therapeutic thrifting could be until midway through Covid . We had just been allowed to visit shops. I had no money to speak of and just stopped by one. Found out it's very calming for me. The smell is something you have to get used to. Lol. Greychen

Most thriftstores I shop at are clean but there are some stinky ones. I love them. I like searching for the little treasures.
Thank you very much, my friend.

If I may, decrepit to one is comfort for another, this type of store help throughout the world, these stores (even here in AUS,) help so very many,
I was a bit put off by the first line, then understood your intention.
Sunshine comes in many forms, very well written****kahpot

I agree, I added information on my author notes. I actually worked for goodwill industries as an instructor. I really like thrift stores.
Thank you very much, my friend.

Hi Gypsy, many people shop in thrift shops, and for some it's a lifeline.
Of special note:
second-hand sunshine
(Indeed)
Great photo. Well done. Xo. M

I like how you say, "secondhand sunshine" - so true. Even the most glamorous stuff from thrift stores are going to have the dulled, used nature of being secondhand.

I love thrift stores but only the well kept one like goodwill. I don't know if I told you, I worked for goodwill teaching disabled and destitute people office technology. It was a great job.
Thank you very much, big sister.

That spiderweb page divider is mine. I created it with the windows "paint" application, it's not hard, you can make it. It's my little baby lol 😊
Thank you very much for your excellent review and kind words.

I've been to several of them, they do smell sweaty sometimes. Yet my wife and I keep visiting. I like the fact that those we go to are linked to things of the past. The words address a place that is relatable and real to many people.

In my author notes I wrote about how much I like them. It's fun to look for that special thing you want. I worked two years at the Goodwill school. I taught office technology... computers, math, Grammar...and such. The money to run the school comes from the thrift stores. It's for disabled and destitute people. I loved that job.
Thank you very much for your excellent review and kind words.

Yes such effective use of language and well chosen words here in this Summer Haiku to portray the 'Thrift Store'- with its particular ambiance' summer, sweat, and time.'
