Beautiful though sad, the mother and son must have had some serious problems if he did not bother to attend her funeral, very well written and presented****kahpot

What a sad poem. I have never heard of "skeleton flowers" but it's very fitting in this case, mother's funeral. It's so transparent that it's almost unreal.
Well done.

Hi MariVal,
there is no deeper time of reflection and grief than that of a loved one's passing... and well, a mother, more so.
The absent son delivered me to my own recent experience with the absence of a daughter from her father's funeral.
Invisible skeleton flowers indeed... a delicate balancing act in reasoning and the action within its transparency.
As always, I appreciate the time and effort you have given and displayed in the presentation delivered. Very delicate and incredibly beautiful, not only visually, but the pairing of words and image have lasting echoes.
With our thoughts we create...
melting memories.
Warmest regards,
James.

I am sorry for your loss, loosing a father and mother is hard. You know I was a little girl when I lost my mom but my father died in 2006. I never got to talk to him and asked him any questions... so many questions, but I was in America and I found out long after the funeral, in any case, I could not afford to fly to Spain.
Thank you, James, my dear friend, thank you for taking the time to read and review my poem.

That's very sad. My friend's sister did not attend her sister's funeral and she regretted it later. And all the reasons she gave, seemed silly and trivial.
What we do in life often affect how we are perceived which might ultimately affect how, effective we are when we speak to others.

Those are such cool-looking flowers. I'd call them "ice flowers" instead. It's hard to say why someone is absent from a funeral - sometimes the reasons are understandable but in spirit, the mom will know he cares.

Yes, we hold our loved ones in our hearts, even the not too nice ones.
Thank you very much, big sister. I hope your day is going well and you get to rest and have fun.
