Hey sweetie, this may be fiction, but I am such a tech nut that I am always changing my wallpaper, my ringtones and adding apps or something all the time. But I could still see myself forgetting and hearing the noise.
Thanks for the kind words and the six stars, my very dear friend.
By the way the picture is of a cell phone or iPad. If you look at the top you will see the little place to take a picture. LOL

I laughed aloud at this one! It's too funny that the noise was coming from your phone the whole time. I'm glad this was fictional! Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

I was glad to see this was a fictional write, Debi, for it certainly would have been
embarrassing. It reads well even though I can see with the format it would take a bit of time. Well done, and I love the artwork.
cheers,

Hey sweetie, and a happy belated birthday to you,
So this may be fiction, but I am such a tech nut that I am always changing my wallpaper, my ringtones and adding apps or something all the time. But I could still see myself forgetting and hearing the noise.
Thanks for the kind words my very dear friend.

Oops, I did it again. I know this says it was fiction but for me it could be true lol technology is not my cup of tea. We have to use it and I really appreciate it but I just don't really understand it very well. Another great job. I'm just in and out on a Saturday evening checking in on a couple of my favorites!

This was a hard one to get the meter right, so thanks for the six stars too.
You are too good to me. Love, Debi

No one has ever accused me of being a nerd in the techie sense! Sometime I may ask you to help me figure out how to add music to my FanStory submission.
(I heard what you just said, L O L : "don't you have to write something first Dan?")
Someday I will. Love you sis.

As a musician, I know what a crescendo is but this is new to me in poetry so thank you for your notes that explained it.
This is a fun one you have written with a smile for us all at the end.
Nice!!!
Blessings

Good job! You did a great job by rhyming and the start gives a mysterious tone. In the end, it gives the reader a sense of relief and humor as it is only the sound from the ipad. Great job!!!

Hi Ida, and welcome. Thank you for the kind comments about this poem. Can I ask if you were asked to read the book on reviewing before you started? It might come in handy because I know how hard it is and to read what is written on FS rules, it isn't the same as what everyone goes by here.
But there is a book of posts that many put together for the new people to understand how to review better. One of them being, it isn't really fair to the person you are reviewing if you don't understand the style of poem that the author has written. Which none of this is your fault if you were not told. When I welcome someone, I always suggest they read it first.
When you give a four star or lower, you should tell them what you think they should have done differently.
In this case, my style was a crescendo. Where you had to increase a syllable with each line and instead of doing it the easy way with free verse, I challenged myself with rhyme and most importantly meter. Which is very hard to do when increasing with especially the odd and even syllable counts.
So receiving a four star wipes out any six star that I got for the piece.. I am not trying to be rude, but just trying to be helpful as I wasn't sure if you were told by anyone else.
I do hope we can be friends and I hope that helps to know that nobody gives a four without corrections to be made and looking at the style and understanding it first. I hope that helps a little too. Debi PM

Thank you for your comment, and sorry for not making it to standards. I'm just getting to know this system and learning how it works. I will definitely be more careful to give more detailed comments. Again, thank you for the comment, it was really helpful!

Thank you and I sure hope you will be happy here. I think more than anything it is probably always good to look to see what style someone is writing and like I said I did appreciate your very kind comments and thank you again my friend.

Hi Joanne, and thank you for the lovely review and words for this silly but very difficult poem, to write. Increasing it by one syllable, each line really makes it hard to keep in meter so I really appreciate your kind comments. Thanks sweetie for the six stars too. Lotsa love, Debi .

I'm not familiar with this poetry form, so thanks for explaining the concept. It seems you did a fine job both in count, rhyme, and meter!
The light-hearted humor is most relatable in a hi-tech world where nearly everything beeps-bops-boops!

Here I am way behind again. Is it any wonder that I don't remember from one week to the next what I have written. But then I actually did just change my ringtones and didn't recognize my own phone when it rang. So this one was only pulp fiction. There might've been a little bit of truth to it. Period. Thank you for the sweet review and comments, sweetie.

Of course! You're most welcome!

Yes, so many times we have a tendency to do something that comes back to bite us later. And the older those like me get, the more trouble we have keeping up with what we have or haven't done. LOL. Thanks for sharing.
