Sometimes we see a relationship that never has a quiet moment, but rather one storm after another. Interestingly enough, neither person wants a quiet moment. The storms give them energy.

I had to smile at this. In the US we still have a few wild horses left. Not at many as we should. The image of a mare striving to catch the interest of a stallion caused me to smile. Of course, these are probably metaphors for humans, but I stayed with the horses. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

I guess both the horses and the wind are free to run. I like the personification of the storm which is choosing which wild horse to ride. The wild horses are untamable like the wind.

Beautiful presentation of words and firm. The words are very passionate and created a response that is anything but vapid.
Have a great night.
Nicely done.

What a gorgeous horse you have chosen to top your poem. Wild and unbridled free spirits, just like the powerful wind you compare it to. This is a really lovely tanka. Somehow reaching into the depths of the reader's soul and creating a yearning and longing.

There is something about a wild herd of horses racing with the powerful abandon of those magnificent beasts unbridled like the wind that destroys life and property, and the wind that brings rain and life. Beautifully written, blessings Roy
