Good old Ben surfaces again, indirectly. Slim seems eager to find Ben and his God, and in turn, to learn more about himself and the reason for his survival and the miracle that is his long, apparently ageless life. I'm guessing he'd like to learn what he should do with his life now--what his calling may be--and figures the clue to this is finding Ben, the man who saved him.

Too bad they didn't have Ancestry and computers or they might have had an easier time tracing him. They are still looking so I'm expecting they will come up with something. The Ben in the cemetery wouldn't be his dad because I don't think they got his body from the cave-in. Since he came back to life they wouldn't had anything to bury?

They had a memorial service and put a stone over an empty grave.

Slim was going to kill Mary's tormenting ex, but Mary killed him saving Slim's life. The law is interested in Slim's mystery.

I guess Slim is a real specimen for study if "things just start working" for a 120 year old man.
Every time my New Jersey friend says "libary" I want to correct her; of course, I never do.
This is turning into a detective story, which I enjoy.

Your story gets more and more interesting. Wonder why there was that reaction at Benjamin's tomb. I'm glad you are maintaining a
Christian slant to this. You could have gone way into the supernatural, like the terrible "Jonah Hex" movie where he took people out of their graves for information.

Yes, Ben died and was sent back to Earth from heaven. That was when he went to Chicago and met Tony.

Ah, we are there, or almost there. He still has to find Ben's descendants, perhaps Ben Paul's family. They'll have a lot of history and stories passed down through the generations. An interesting and well written chapter, an enjoyable read.
