Breathe My Last

the idea of death as something curious and not tragic is both thought-provoking and comforting. There's a gentle acceptance woven throughout, especially in how you view life's challenges and moments of regret. The shift from the complexities of life to the freedom of letting go is beautifully done.

I enjoyed reading your poem. I liked how you used as I breathe my last. Sometimes, we need to take a moment and be thankful for what we have. Well written.

So, you see the end of life as completion, huh? Doesn't that just take the rag off of the bush? This is an interesting and entertaining poem with rhymes at the end of each line so that it is completed if you want to say that then I will.
Thanks for the provocative and pontific piece to think about.

Hi
This is a well rhymed and metered poem of faith. It reminds us of the peace we will find in Heaven, as our beliefs tell us. That is if we are found worthy, which we all hope to see our loved ones again. I like the idea of being completed at the end.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

As I breathe my last it is not an ending. In every way imaginable I am ascending. Most beautiful. I write crap just to decompress. This is absolutely beautiful. I'm not crying. IM NOT! Could you send me a virtual Kleenex, please. This one is what I call an onion. You can't peal it without crying.

This poem has many elements that are shocking and encouraging as well. As a bible reader, I do believe that some times that will be very hard to deal with are yet ahead of us, and as much as I love life, having recently lost my wife of many years, I am now thinking that death may be welcome.

Very well written poem about a subject often avoided. I certainly am not ready to breathe my last yet but I know where my future is once I'm gone and look forward to a place where I am completed also. :)

A thoughtful look at the later years of our lives. We do stop and try to put things in perspective as we see we have lived more days than we have left to live.
Interesting topic.
Blessings

I'm not sure if this is uplifting or depressing. Having said that, it delivers a message of contentment that I read as so accepting of the challenges that this life has and does throw at us.
A very provocative write.

I enjoyed reading this poem that explores the feelings one might feel as life is winding down to a more final point. Favorite line:
To relax into a carefree world of so what.
Thank you for sharing.
