We cannot help but think of a vampire movie, and in this instance the victim gladly succumbs to a predator. You capture very well the moment when she gladly gives herself to him.

sweet vampire tanka suite
love the imagery of shivering in green grass under the red moon using the willow tree for shelter
smooth flow - liked the white and purple colours, too
thank you for sharing

I had a feeling one of the couple was not a mortal. I like the darker, yet romantic tone of this poem. The use of the word shiver was a perfect touch. This was great. There have been a lot of Easter poems and this was a nice change of pace. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Gretchen

Love this poem! Especially because it is about my favorite mythical creatures, vampires! How amazing would it be to find a love that would last forever. I think that's what always drew me to them.

Me too. Did you watch the movie, twilight? Bran Stoker's Dracula is one of my favorites.
Thank you very much for your excellent review.

A beautifully sensual Tanka poem about vampires and their erotic lure. As always, the artistic look of the piece adds an extra dimension. Very nicely done. Thank you for sharing.
