I think I know too! This is going to be hard, Echo didn't like him, and yet, there was something about him that intrigued her. It must be wonderful to be able to talk to animals, wouldn't it be good if we could? Right, we are heading into something we're not sure of. And we don't know it Hannah is safe. I'm going to have to wait for the next chapter now, aren't I?? Lol. Another great chapter, my friend. Well done. :)) Sandra xx

Thank you so much for the 6 stars. That's so helpful and encouraging. I'm also happy you took the time to review both chapters. I'm actually going to post another one, probably in a bit if I can get it pulled together.
Spoiler alert, you might not find out the guy who holds Hannah just yet.
Take care,
Rhonda

Hello Rhonda,
Another marvelous chapter in the book. Many memories came to mind as I was reading: obviously Alice in Wonderland, going down the rabbit hole, but also Snow White and Cinderella with all the animals coming to her aid against the evil witch or step mother or Greek god.
Love the name "Neptune" for the little bunny who leads Echo to the entrance.
Interesting clue at the end: "He said he knew her and that she knew him." So who does she know other than the evil person from the beginning of the story when she was a reporter?
Excellent hook to lead to the next chapter.
Well done, my friend.
Best wishes.
Robert

Hi Robert,
Thank you for the six stars and the thorough review. Both much appreciated.
Lots of animal stories out there. Animals are a gentler version of ourselves, and thus we can use them instead of people to carry on the message. I was told that by a mentor long ago.
I'm glad the reference to who she know had Hannah was a good hook. Now I have to deliver, lol.
Take care, and thanks again,
Rhonda

Another exciting chapter and I love all the animal talk. It is a super idea.
I also like how they are all pitching in to help one another. I was sorry when the posting ended...it is easy to get caught up in this story.

Hi Lily,
Thank you so much for the six stars, my friend, and for the kind comments. I'm glad you liked the animals. I like them, too, and they can be used to represent people without calling them that. Innocent, but tough.
Take care, my friend,
Hugs,
Rhonda

Interesting characterization: "In spite of who he was named after, this gentle rabbit was no warrior." This a nice description of their relationship. "Sunny had joined the party. Sunny, who was supposed to be waiting at Mary's. Oh well, she was glad he had disobeyed." this has a nice example of juxtaposition: "There, she is taken on a walk through a magnificent flower garden". There is a new mission of afront

Hi Liz, thank you for your review and for the helpful comments. It's hard mixing two worlds, but, in a way, our society does that all the time. The most unusual of people are often the ones called on to do extraordinary things.
Take care,
Rhonda

Comment from Pam (respa)
Very nice artwork and excellent story to go with it, Rhonda. You did a great job with everything that went on in this chapter. There is a lot of emotion in it as Echo is trying her best to keep up with Neptune and trying to figure out what he wants her to do. She relies on what she knows, and that is being able to navigate through the trees. That was a good move on her part.
Luckily, she met Phillip when she got to the tunnel and he explained the basic situation. I liked how you incorporated the animals for help since Phillip could understand them. Even Sunny has now joined this part of rescuers. A very good ending as Echo recalls her dream and the man who had been in it. Very well done, my friend.

Thank you so much for the six stars and the review, Pam. The action is picking up now, which helps move the plot forward. I'm glad you liked the bit about the animals, and about Echo remembering her dream.
I'm glad you liked the artwork. I think it looks a lot like what I would picture Echo to be.
Phillip will get his chance to shine with the older kiddos out of the way, lol.
Thanks so much,
Rhonda

How interesting Echo is settling Down to talking a few animal languages and is darting around in something that resembles Ann enchanted kingdom of fierce of fierce languages and rabbits, and to rescue Hannah. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

This is a great story with enchanting heroes. The image of a band of warriors including a herd of rabbits, a cat, a young boy, and Echo is precious. Your writing is excellent and your imagery is flawless. This book should be published. If I haven't told you, writing as a career isn't easy and it is a business, but seeing your book in print is so great. You might look up FundsforWriters.com by C. Hope Clark. She has all kinds of info about being a writer. I have been following her since she hoped to sell her first book and now as a dozen or so in print.

There's such a wealth of colour and activity here as Echo sets off on her mission to find Hannah, joined by a copious supply of chattering rabbits. This has reminders of Alice in Wonderland albeit occurring above ground with a family of rabbits rather than one! I like the very visual way Echo opts to travel through the trees too which takes us back to that journey she first took with Theo. You end nicely on Echo's sudden realisation of who's holding Hannah - is it Apollo? A wonderful read in which Echo is now coming into her own. Thanks for sharing. Take care Debbie

Hi Debbie,
Thank you for the six stars and for the lovely detailed review.
Alice, bless her heart....I even have a grinning, or grumpy cat, but much different ending.
Could be Apollo, but might be someone else. However, Echo has it figured out.
I'm glad you noticed the reflection back to tree travel.
Thanks again,
Hugs,
Rhonda

Hi Barbara, thank you for the six stars. They are much appreciated!!
I try to add in a little comic relief as things are about to get really serious. I, also, am trying to mix mythology with modern day reality to get across ideas in a sort of alternate zone. CS Lewis-esque without his obvious level of sophistication, but sort of fan fiction, I guess.
Thanks again,
hugs,
Rhonda

You certainly have a heck of an imagination. What a fantasy. I'm enjoying this adventure and I used to steer away from fantasy. I did read the Dr. Dolittle's books though and always wished I could speak animal language. Sometime I think they understand us more than we understand them. I can't wait to see where this saga is leading.

Hi Beth, thank you for taking a chance on following the fantasy book. I really try to teach life lessons by using animals and alternate reality settings. The original idea was to target young adults and to help teach life-lessons. I try to stay on track with that, but sometimes just have fun with it.
Dr. Dolittle is an influence here as well as CS Lewis, with a hint of Tolkien, lol.
I am convinced animals can understand us better than we can them, though. My son's dog actually blinks for yes and turns his head away for no. That's the most obvious signs I've seen, personally, though we just know our animals get it sometimes.
Take care,
Rhonda
