Your senryu provides a good lesson for readers of all ages. Being polite, smiling when spoken to, opening a door for others--all these "simple courtesies" need to be encouraged.

Absolutely. Somehow, I think some of these simple, little kindnesses have fallen by the wayside in today's world. It's a shame because because they can bring much charm and character to the giver as well as the receiver. I appreciate your review and comments.
