Thanks! I was going for a negative visceral reaction, however based on your comments I have updated the piece. (Why the site allows us to do this between entering and voting, I don't know, but since it does, I did). Love to hear what you think of the second version.

This was a fun poem. I don't think I've ever tried a plantain. Won't now! Very creative and you say so much with just three lines. Good luck in the contest.
