Your senryu captures the fear of night many children have. Sometimes only a flashlight is needed to ease their fears.
Fortunately, most kids lose that fear as they get older. Good luck in the contest. Rod

Good strong emotion to highlight in your Senryu. It is one that affects the very young through to the very old. And then light scatters the darkness. Nicely done. Julie.
