I'm starting to think the Tanka is my favorite poetic form. I love the warmth of this one. The tangle of memories and setting work together and I live the tangerine color mentioned. Beautiful and cozy. Gretchen

I'm not sure that this tangerine conch is real but it's very pretty. I visited a very small island called Tobacco island in Belize in 2020 and it had piles and piles of conch shells. They even decorated the roadside with them. I have written poems about them before.

Lovely picture and poem! The "tangerine conch" has captured the sea and the sun and symbolizes the love that he wants to express to his beloved. A lovely tanka!

How beautiful, I am going to assume that "conch" is the seashell, that holds the sounds of love and serenity, while the lover is sea bound, very well written and presented****kahpot
