This is another excellent chapter. Your description of the passing over and back is believable to me. I do not see any room for improvement. Have ma blessed day.

Thank you so much. I wasn't clear whether I could write it properly but I hoped my imagination was enough to get the point across.

A brilliant chapter, Carol! Here we see Isabella approach and enter the very gates of Heaven. You did an awesome job of describing the beauty and peace Heaven must offer. I especially loved the part about her having no pain. Great touch.

How did she get from the hospital to her bed at home?

Glad to know she has a chance to fix things with her family, but I'm sure she'd rather have stayed where she was, lol.

Take care,
Rhonda

Hello, Rhonda. It's an illusion, a spirit. Peter has sent Isabella's spirit on a mission while she lies in the hospital in a medically induced coma. The next chapters will show what lead up to the terrible confrontation between Natasha and her grandmother. Thank you for the review.

    Hugs, Carol

As a member of the older generation, references to the way things used to be, and the many changes we all experience in time, made me personally identify with Isabella's thoughts of her life. I look forward to your reveal of Natasha's crime, and Isabella and Natasha coming together in love.

Observation:
magnificent sea of vibrant flowers
magnificent white robe
magnificent candles

(You could change at least one "magnificent" to another adjective)

Hello, Lorraine! You are so right! Guess I was trying to be in a "magnificent" spot when I was writing this chapter. Thanks for pointing it out. The upcoming chapters will unveil the things Natasha and her besties have been doing and their poor choices. Strange how one generation views things versus another.

Wow, I like your description of the anteroom of Heaven. I also am intrigued by the small gold cross. Does it have some power for Isabella? I guess all she needs now is to "walk with the Lord" with this memento of her time in Heaven and set some things right. Another great chapter!

Hello, Helen... Thanks for the review. I hope I gave a warm feeling of Heaven, though I know it will be far more beautiful than anything I could imagine. The cross means a lot to me and I hope it gives Isabella strength to go on.

I'm so glad you are back. I enjoy reading your writing and I can't help reading it even though it wasn't very short. You write beautifully and it's full of suspense.

Please keep posting.

Excellent.

Hello, my friend.... I've been told I am a "wordy" person, but I have so much to share... good and bad. LOL I shall try to shorten the chapters when the story line will allow or my mind will graciously end it. Thank you so much for your kindness and glittering stars. You are greatly appreciated.

Hi Carol, so Isabella is having an out of body experience? What I can't figure out is whether she's dead or not.
I will have to say, that I'm not religious, so it doesn't really matter to me one way or another, but it certainly makes for a good story. Sorry for being so pragmatic. Hugs, Ulla xxx. At least I'm honest with you.

Just what I would want and expect from you.... I remembered that we'd had this discussion before and I see no problem with it. The story isn't about religion so to speak. It's about generation gaps and how society has changed in what's expected....well, let's just say how my family has changed. Isabella is actually in a coma at the hospital but Peter has sent her spiritual body to take care of some unfinished business. She'll actually be more of a "ghost" to her granddaughter I think. In chapter 3, the things that lead up to this moment will start to be revealed and that's where the true story lies. I hope you'll still find enjoyment in the story. Thanks so much, Ulla. Smiles, Carol

Yes, it's lucky for us all that salvation is a gift, our misdeeds not even taken into consideration, because if they were, it's doubtful any of us would enter those pearly gates. Thanks for another outstanding chapter. I just wish I had a six to reward it properly.

Your thoughts are worth more to me than the six, but thank you kindly for offering one for the story. I'm just glad some of my family members don't have the option to vote on where they'd like to send me. LOL

I know where you're coming from my dear. I haven't talked with any of my children or grandchildren in a few years now. Sometimes it isn't easy, but most of the time I'm fine after realizing it wasn't me they cared about anyway. Just what I could do for them. But only if I never had an opinion I'd like to share. LOL. Smiles and hugs back at you, Ric

The eastern part of the country is frozen this year. But I'm betting that heavy free means early spring. :-)

I'm enjoying the story. I was surprised to find Isabella back in her room because I expected the out of body experience to have been occuring while she was on her way to the hospital after the EMTs picked her up. I look forward to learning more

Her actual body is in the hospital - in a medically induced coma. This is her spiritual body being sent back to Earth because of unfinished business.
reply by BethShelby on 24-Jan-2024
Oh, that makes sense. She is still in an out of body experience. Thanks.

I can't imagine how wonderful that would be to face St Peter, I think I'd pass out! Your contination is as I would expect from you, vivid, exciting, a bit scary, but straight from your heart, dear Carol. I'm sure that by writing this, you will feel a lot lighter in your heart. This is a fabulous chapter, my friend. Love it!! Well done, I await the next chapter. Love and hugs, my friend, Sanda xxx

OH, Sandra, you are the best! Though the story will take some dark corners, you are right about how I feel like I am lifting a weight from my heart, tiny pieces but a step in the right direction. It's not my usual who dunit, but maybe it's time for a change. A time to clean out the closet so to speak! Thank you again. Smiles, hugs and love, Carol

This is a beautifully written chapter. I was just a little confused by the time frame. I assume it is after Natasha knocked her down, and she nearly died and had a near-death experience with a magnificent vision of heaven, but then I thought she would wake up in the hospital, not in her own home. Otherwise... wonderful, yet ... although the story is written so well, it grieves me to think that you have been through all this and that's why we haven't seen you much lately.

Isabella lies in a medically induced coma at the hospital. This is the spiritual form that Peter has sent back because she has unfinished business to attend to. Sorry I didn't make that clear enough.
