Hello Alie,
this was a rather interesting poem. I've never seen this style before, though what do I know about poetry? Wooden shoes ? I guess you wouldn't want them to get wet or they would swell up on your feet. It wouldn't seem like they would be very comfortable, were they? Thanks for sharing gal.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

Hi Alie. You are good to have worn them for 1 year and a half I suppose you get used to them. I thing we tried wooden shoes years ago, but haven't got any now. Not sure what tyke means??
Hope you are going well this year.

As always Cheers and a hug Chris

Thank you so much Chris for reading, reviewing and your kind comments. Tyke=a young child usually under 5 years of age because they become school age, lol.

Hi Alie of course Tyke is a young child I had forgotten that, yes we used that phrase too ha ha

I imagine wooden shoes to be a bit uncomfortable, but they seem to manage okay in Holland with them. A fun post and I enjoyed the humour here, love Dolly x x x

Hey, Alie, where's the kitty cat picture? :) It is the in thing to post one to go with your poem. A gift from a friend is always welcomed more so if you wear them with honor. I can barley wear shoes without checking if they don't have anything on their sole. Thank you for sharing.

This is so different from anything I have read before: it's original and very cute. I would love to see it illustrated. All the best for you future writings.

She's awake! I guess you are writing about Dutch clogs?
No moccasins for baby papoose. Clogs are the most comfortable I'm told, you wouldn't think wood would be so good, you were young and understood. K xx

This is a cool poem about honouring a gift from a friend. Even though wooden shoes are especially effective for the soil in a garden of tulips they do take a little getting used to.

A most enjoyable and unique read today and many thanks for sharing. :)

Hi Allie,
I can understand why you'd wear a gift from a friend, I have done the very same... well, not with wooden shoes though.

Wondering how your feet might have gone after a year and a half of clomping around in clogs?

Regardless, it's a personal poem and it's very sweet... and I do love the word 'TYKE'. I commented the other day after reading another poem who incorporated 'TYKE' into their poem, how I miss seeing that word used, as I still do... that and rug rat.

Beautiful Allie.
Suggestion:
They were the cat's meow.

With our thoughts we create...
a respectful bond.

Kindest regards,
James.
