I know you told me that there will be many more chapters so I didn't expect Ben to die. But seems like his legacy will live one in the people whose lives were changed by God through Ben. I wonder how and where Beth will go? Back to her parents?
Please give us a heads up when you might finish the book or the part of the book..

That was the end of the third part (Colorado, Chicago, San Francisco/Alaska). There are two more parts.
Thank you for your great reviews.

Terrific conclusion to this captivating story, Wayne. You end with a nice recap of the major events in Ben's calling and the inspiration he gave to many others with his life.
You also gave us a great introduction to the sequel which will follow, which I will be anxious to read as well.
This has been a wonderful story of a good man and his quest to spread the word of the lord and to bring goodness wherever he went. He had a knack for bringing the best out in people, often turning them from a life of crime to one of goodness. This Christ-like figure was resolute in his quest and ultimately successful, though at great cost to himself. What a wonderful message you've conveyed in this long and very satisfying novel. - Jim

Thank you! If only you were an agent!
I've appreciated your reviews.

Haha, I wish you were too. I haven't had any luck with agents on any of my stories so far.

Well, we will see, Wayne! This is a perfect and beautiful ending. Lovely review of his life, like life flashes before his eyes as he dies. Wonderful story altogether. Thank you so much.

It was a beautiful dying process, and he was surrounded by God's love and Beth's love and that of others. The sequel will be interesting. It has been a vividly told story start to finish.

This is another excellent chapter. I am sad about the death of Ben. You did a good job describing Ben's rambling as death approached. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

The last sentence turned this into a six. Ben survived so many times there is no way she should give up too soon. Sadly, Ben's time has come. This has been a very interesting story with an amazing amount of adventure for a speaker for God.

These last episodes have been heart wrenching and I kept believing that he would be healed in the end. I can't say I'm not disappointed but God doesn't always heal. You story has been inspiring and I've enjoyed reading it. If you've decided Ben's ministry is over, so be it.

As a latecomer to this series, I'm so sad to see Ben leave us. If I'd been reading from the beginning, I think I'd be a sobbing mess by now! I like the idea of the sequel as an illustration of how God moves us forward and uses others to do His work.

Thank you. Yours is the first review and I was about to die holding my breath. Tony was 12 when Ben enlisted him as a paid helper in Chicago. He's 13 now.

He may have felt bad about killing the man in San Francisco, but that brought him to Beth in a roundabout way.
Ben's life flashed before his eyes, and out of his mouth, in this final chapter. You likely caused a few watery eyes from your readers.
The ending was perfect - both her whispering their son's name in his ear and waiting to see if God was truly done with him.
I've enjoyed reading about Ben's calling, and it has helped me to understand your own personal relationship with God, since you couldn't have written this if you did not have one.
I won't be continuing with your next book; you are the second person I've had to tell that this morning. I'm already reading three books on this site, and I'm just not going to have the time in the next month or two to read as much on FS. I'm trying to read as many of those I follow, as well as newbies, as I can in the time that I have.
Again, I admire you and everyone here who can string together chapter after chapter. I just can't imagine myself ever being that focused for so long.
I'll still be around to read any "single" posts you share.
Have a great holiday, Wayne!
