This is an exquisite Gypsy! You chose perfect artwork to pair with your poem for your Haiku club entry presentation.
Quite the metamorphic allusion - the social butterfly flittering about. I would get the same feeling if you had chose a hummingbird.

Hola Guapa, I just loved this haiku for the club entry. The imagery is outstanding. A social butterfly, indeed. I will be looking forward to post my own contribution. Un abrazo, Ulla xx

Your words simply delight. Who doesn't enjoy the social butterfly that flits around a summer party, charming everyone? This image makes for a lovely Haiku.

What a lovely thought, as butterflies do seem to enjoy flitting around in the sunshine. I am quite the introvert, so I do not enjoy a tremendous amount of social interaction, but many of my friends are true "butterflies." I love your analogy here.
Well done!

I hear you, I'm an introverted person too (*=*) I'm more of a fly on the wall. LoL
Thank you very much for reading and reviewing my poem.

Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. I see a beautiful metaphor in this poem. I have to step back and remember the awe on my three-year-old granddaughter's face when a butterfly almost touched her arm yesterday. She's seen them before, but still, there's awe.

Aw... I can visualize the butterfly kisses on your three years grandaughter's face. Kids are so precious at that age.
Thank you very much for your excellent review and kind words.

For me, when a haiku is done just right, I feel this sense of peace and breathing room in my solar plexis. This gorgeous entry of yours left me with that sensation. Thank you. (Love the artwork, too!!) For me, this is perfection. xo

Hi MariVal,
This is a good take on the picture for the haiku club post.
It shows one of the non literal meanings for butterfly.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great rest of the weekend.

Butterflies do become social as they flutter their wings to and from a flower. Your poem is magnificent. Love the colors; very festive and delightful.

I really enjoyed the whimsical connection you drew between the beautiful insect and the human party animal! Quite often, they appear to be dressed similarly. :) You've added such beautiful artwork to accompany your words as usual and it really creates a sense of place appropriate to a social butterfly's typical surroundings.
