I love Lizzy and her way of coping with her life, I relate totally, and hope the visions of her continue on in your mind and you share them with us more often. I write poetry too, and I bet she and I would be friends. What a gift to write a character people can identify with.

Thank you for your emotionally connected review. You are welcome to peek back at the previous chapters in my portfolio. It begins when she (I) just left the convent. There is no need for a review. Just enjoy.

A lovely write infused with poetry and a love of music. This strongly conveys a message of the importance of music in our lives and to perform must be an incredible feeling of expression and liberation. As ever, you know how to touch the reader's heart with your kitty story and that Rainbow Bridge we remember so well. It's the saddest moment saying goodbye to a beloved pet and you sensitively achieved that without being overly sentimental. Well done, Liz. Debbie

I think this is the very first time that I have heard. Someone refer to our past as being like a sump pump in our mind trying to Erase the things are there. I enjoyed this very much and I wish you the best with all of your writing, and with all of your music. Patricia

What a fantastic continuation chapter, Liz. I was so glad that Malinda was there for Lizzy. I loved the song about your baby kitty, it brought back memories. Lizzy had a fondness for music. Looking forward to the next chapter. Blessings n Hugs!!!

I got 7 cukes and 5 tomatoes. I haven't dug my potatoes yet. Threy areoften the size of marbles, shooters, ping pong balls, cue balls, once in a while base ball size. It's always fun. I'm not supporting myself with them or sustaining myself for the winter...lol

Wow! That's a good little garden. Keep at it? Liz.

I believe even people with no musical talent that music is important in their lives. Thank you for sharing this story with us. I can't wait to read more. This is a good write.

Absolutely. Music is so important to all of us I am sure. I could never work without it. I too played seven inch singles to death and now it is on my phone constantly. Thanks for sharing these memories.

Music is a wonderful spice to our lives. It must have been a lot of fun to let people enjoy your songs. I remember having a little record player like yours but switched to a transistor radio as soon as possible.

It would be hard to have my record player in bed with me like I did my tiny transistor radio. I mention that in the next chapters. You'll like it.

I loved learning about your foray into music and sharing from your heart through that "open mike." Loved the sump pump metaphor in that song.
Suggestions:
Can you make the poems/songs a smaller font so that the lines of the poem match up?
Also, at times, I was a little surprised at the "first person" narrative. I know you're telling this in the third person but I guess Lizzy is talking in these points but it was a little confusing at times.

Thank you for your detailed review. It's a little like Lizzy is being interviewed. The poem is free verse so a little bit like e.e.cummings format
Comment from BethShelby
It is good Lizzie discovered a way to lead out in writing her own music and singing for open mike night. Music is something everyone needs in their lives and for those who have the talent it is even more improtant that they share it with others.
