Seems like Ben has the support of most of the church leaders and if the churches are united, then they become a powerful influence. I like how Ben's first response is to give thanks to God and pray when he is given recognition by the crowd!

"Glory, Ben? You have bitten the lion and we're to tame it?" [Ha! what a beautiful turn of phrase.]
and smile indicating heaven. [I think this would be more effective without adding what his smile indicated. The reader knows.]
Ben seems to be getting more and more enmeshed in the political side of organizing. That's just a comment not a criticism. I like where this is going.

It was a fine chapter, and I didn't feel it filled in the gaps, but was integral to showing the purpose, the planning for, and the process of follow-up that the "awakening" will require. Well done.

I liked this "housekeeping" chapter, as it allowed us to get to know the mood of the ministers and witness their solidarity. There doesn't always have to be action:-)

I thought this was a fascinating chapter as Ben gets to present his plan for the Awakening and is able to draw even the reluctant pastors into accepting and even looking forward to it. He is helping solidify the alliance and further strengthening his relationship with Henry, the mayoral candidate. I like that kind of action. - Jim

No need to apologise. It's great. Once again I love the way he refuses to become the hero they want him to be but constantly turns them to God and to the power of prayer and faith. His self-denial is miraculous in this world. Inspiring to read about. Don't let up.
