Well, Ben certainly has a mind full of ideas that he sows like seeds. I just hope he doesn't run out of steam before seeing all his projects through to their full promise. kay

He just follows his calling one day at a time.
Thank you for the review.

This is another excellent chapter. Ben seems to have settled in San Fran for a while and he is calling in reinforcements. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Thank you. I appreciate your review.

I'm glad Ben was able to free himself from the officers with being injuried too badly. It seems that he had a lot of hign hopes for getting things organized in San Francisco an is enlisting the help of another well known preacher.

Ben never knows from one day to the next exactly what will transpire - his calling.
Thank you for your nice review.

Good chapter, Wayne, as we meet some more historical figures: D.L. Moody and Henry Halleck (who we actually met in the previous chapter but I just realized he was an historical figure too). I love how you make your story real by bringing in these characters. Seems like Ben is on the verge of turning this city around, and his actions are taking on a wider role with things like bringing in the Salvation Army and AA.

Billy Sunday is a name among many I remember well. I too worked the old tent ministry as a servant for God. Billy was before my time but his name I remember well. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the review.
My research indicates Billy Sunday's main ministry was for prohibition. Too bad Satan won on that front.

I doubt the devil won anything. God's mercy endures forever.

A calmer, but still engaging new instalment. The man's journey never seems to end and I am enjoying every step he takes. I do hope his challenge to the corrupt city managers will continue.

Thank you for your very nice review.
That's the trouble with FanStory - the posts need to be manageable in size, and that precludes action in every installment.

Haight and Ashbury, eh? Ben should come for a visit in the 1960s - he'd be more than busy!
I have certainly heard of the Moody family and their ministry; I like the way you are mixing historical figures into your story.
I like how Ben flits into a situation, does the necessary work of organizing, then off he goes to his next calling. I look around at causes in my community, and the thing they are missing is someone to organize and lead. That's a role few want.
A good chapter, Wayne.

So Ben broke the teeth of the second police officer? That will come back to bit him (sorry about that terrible pun). How good that you are weaving in a revival with Dwight L Moody! Very immaginative and creative.

Thank you. Yes, Ben is not perfect. He, like us, sometimes misses the mark, getting ahead of God.

Well, it seems that the Lord brought Ben to connect many famous people together. All this is possible as we know from looking back even in our own lives how God orchestrated a network of connections to further His kingdom. Good idea to use the correspondences to show how Moody already knew about Ben and Billy Sunday.

Thank you. Coming up with that was an 'aha' moment.

I was confused a great deal in the beginning, as I explain below:
The next day Ben used his white hat escort [Wayne, forgive me but you've used "white hat escort" before. I thought at first it was one of the cops. In that brawl, I was confounded as to what happened. Who wielded the ax handle? And who took him to the doctor and later to rent his room? I think you're leaving too many gaps for the reader.]
Aside from that, his letter to Moody, and the return letter were exquisitely drawn up. They sounded very authentic and I'll be anxious to read what comes next when Moody arrives in October.

Thank you. I'll have to work on the confusing part.
