This poem addressing loss and sorrow was touching. I liked your free verse style. It was letter-like, and it reminds the reader that the memories and love we have outlast death. It also addresses moving on, and that's important too.

Hi Diane! I am glad to be back on, but it is bittersweet right now--a lot of emotions and memories. Still, I know, it's where I need to be. So good to hear from you. Thank you so much for the review and kind words. Blessings, Cathy

Welcome back to FanStory, Cathy! It's so wonderful to see you today and read your wonderful poem. We are all still reeling at the loss of Laura Jan Lodle. My sincere condolences to you, Cathy. I know how close you were to Bill and to Jan.
We have started a memorial book of poems for Jan if you'd like to join in at any time. My chapter is called: Above the Moon and Stars.
Sending you my best today as always, and blessings for your writing endeavors.

Hi Sally! So good to be back on here, but bittersweet. Yes, Bill meant the world to me, and Jan was a wonderful person and writer, as well a very good friend. We grieved together when he passed. I just found out about her passing and will miss her dearly. Thanks for mentioning your chapter and the memorial book. I will read it and, as I'm inspired, will write something also. Right now, I'm still in shock. Thanks you for your review. I'm glad you are still here! God Bless, Cathy XO

This is a poignantly written verse from the perspective of one who has passed on and now reassures the one left behind. It speaks in very gentle, loving tones and gives comfort generally to the bereaved, inspired as the verse is by faith. Thanks for sharing and good luck! Debbie
