I like that you put Billy Sunday into your story. I knew about him but I didn't know he was a baseball player or that he was saved by hearing a street preacher. I enjoyed the song you encluded with you story.

How fascinating that you have included the real story of Billy Sunday in your story and that you made Ben Persons the street preacher. It just goes to show that Ben attending the game and the carnival events before the game were also under God's control and will.

Yes, there was a famous evangelist named Billy Sunday who played outfield for the Chicago White Stockings. And... he got saved by the words of a street preacher!

In this his dedication becomes ever more apparent and he uses whatever opportunity he can find to convey his message, no matter how briefly, to the people entering and leaving the ballpark. But his particular achievement comes in the form of urging one of the Chicago White Stocking to attend the local Church. Ben is on a mission and his sense of calling is now in full flow. One small edit: para starting "Getting back into position..." - acting as if ? held a bat. Thanks for sharing, Wayne. Debbie
