Thought I had reviewed this one - I mustn't have saved it. I like your third line - because it is open to interpretation. Is the writer being cynical, questioning, sarcastic, humorous ...? Hence thought-provoking despite being very short. Arrogant people who seem to imply they know everything simply don't know how little theye know.

Some believe they have a universal response that covers every mystery of life, and if they don't have a proper answer, they trot it out and the matter is closed. If only life were that simple.
It must be awful to know everything... what's left to learn?

HAHAHAHA. This describes a piano student of mine. In his mind, he's the most talented guy he ever met. In my mind, he was a complete and total slacker who, even though he was a Senior and had taken thirteen years with me, I had to cut from the Recital because he, in simplest terms, sucked.
When I saw this delightful 1-6-1 of yours, he and our final encounter, when I had to deliver the news that he had not delivered the goods and was being banned from the Recital, was what sprang to mind.
