Good luck wishes regarding the contest entry, Gypsy. This was such a horrendous picture of Hiroshima, the dual pictures, the second one zeroes in on the devastation. Your words were correct, they did die young because of the bomb. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

Wow! I like this one, so powerful in so few words, there are far too many tears in the world and most spilled by children, very well written and presented, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Children of war often loose more than their innocence. This poem was written in a concise, clever and to the point way. The picture drove the point home. Thank you for posting this sad poem. Gretchen

It Is, Marival. But I despair. How can you avoid it? When man always wants to fight each other. There is only one answer. Stop all wars. But that will never happen. Sigh!! I loved your heartfelt wee poem. Ulla xx

So true. Governments don't seem to care about who really suffers during war. Greed is all they think about. Thank you for sharing this poem with us. I wish all governmental officials could read and actually understand it.

Powerful words and few for this short poetic format, together with a striking visual remind us of the sheer horror of war and its consequences, especially for the most vulnerable

So true! Children don't know why the calamities have befallen them and it's so cruel to have them suffer because of political issues between nations and aggressive factions. Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you, Big Sister. It took me a while to find the right words in such a short verse. I am glad you like it :)
