An excellent poem for children. It is bright and attractive in presentation, as well as in theme. It is realistic re spills but fun and exciting, and an encouragement to help children discover their own creativity in art. Best wishes for the contest.

As an artist and grandma, I spent many summers with my grandchildren in my art studio. So naturally, I LOVE your poem. It is clever and fun, great rhyming, and filled with wonder. What child wouldn't love this poem!!!!

I think the poem will be very entertaining for children. The actual colors of the poem the way it's written looks very nice. The presentation matches the theme and children will be drawn to this. It has a very creative vibe. I was a little taken back to read the ending that now your ready to color between the lines. I've been a teacher for many years and I'm also an artist myself so I was really thinking it was very creative and then at the end you say so now you can stay between the lines. My feelings about that might be just because of my experience but otherwise it's a very good poem. Best wishes!

Thanks for your comments.... I am an artist myself, so I take your point about creative freedom, but I also respect control and taking care rather than just making a mess. Learning to be neat can also be an important skill.
