I seem to be missing so many contests these days, they're coming so fast I can't keep up. A stellar win for you in this form. Love the eroding and chosen art. Sending you my best today as always and best congratulations!

Hi Sally. I liked the challenge of writing a 1-6-1 and it is a bit difficult to have the ending rhyme, but a fun mental exercise. Thank you.

Who knew such few words could provoke such thought...and action?!
I also love how each line rhymes! What a well-crafted masterpiece! I'd love to see this on a bookmark or hanging in a children's classroom at school. Thank you so much for sharing!

Hello Melissa :)
I enjoyed reading your 1-6-1 poem.
Those dreams soon evaporate if we don't pin them down straight away. Your presentation is lovely - a perfect blend of words and illustration.
Congratulations on your second placing in the contest.
Best wishes, Debra

A very true piece of advice! That is, write now; of course you will continue to write. I try to be organised and keep a notebook with me; now I just have to remember that it is there. Good luck in the contest, Julie L

For writers, this should be a screen saver or a poster they have on their wall as a reminder to simply keep going with the process. Too many times we allow our misgivings to get in the way of writing.
