Really good chapter, Wayne. I've become a fan so I won't miss any more. I don't care how much they are worth; this is a really good story you've got going here. I'll catch up eventually. Great job with it. Jim

It seems Ben was able to find out why so many men were not willing to stay long and his instincts were right again. He seemz to be able to excel and make men respect him no matter what new job he works at. I'm enjoying the story.

I think the first bit with Demone could be left out at the moment as it doesn't add anything, but maybe could be brought in and developed later.
This chapter was interesting and he solved the issue with insight. Glad he looked after Red well, and was very capable and caring towards Queenie. Good horse skills. Well written.

Thank you. Yeah, I've already left the villain out, but attempted to reinsert him. I think the tension he brings is critical to the overall plot, but to do it in this format is beyond me.

These stories could be made a bit shorter for more reviews. I was confused from the beginning because the man Ben met up with was Demone Lovelace, who almost shot him. But then the guy talking was Vickers. Were there three men at the Y-intersection?

Anyway, Ben came to the rescue again and brought harmony to a work situation by opening Franklin's eyes.

    Thank you.
The beginning was my poor attempt to insert a villain that I feel is critical to adding tension. I eliminated the chapter introducing him because it didn't immediately continue the plot. Unfortunately, short FanStory post have not made it easy for me.
And yes, long posts are not well reviewed. I've already cut nearly every chapter in two, but that doesn't easily provide for action, suspense, character development, plot movement, etc in each post.

I have only read a little bit of this, but you have some real problems. You have Ben in an intersection where Desmone doesn't kill him. Then he is standing talking to a rancher apparently on a ranch. There is also a description of the ranch that the rancher might boast about. Then he gets hired. I want you to go back and explain how he got to each place and did God tell him to go to the ranch? I wish I didn't need to put stars on it, but once you get this part organized, I am going to want to see it again.

I really look forward to reading this as I think Ben is an amazing character, but the beginning was just too confusing.

It was a long chapter, but interesting. Ben did a great job identifying the problem at the Bar-V ranch and finding a way to rectify it while he was there. Having done that it was time to move on. He had answered his calling it was time to go. Well done, Wayne. Nancy:)

I'm learning a lot about ranching here! The story is vividly told and the characters well portrayed, giving the reader a very clear insight into this life and the world in which Ben finds himself. Although taunted and tested Ben is so far shining through on God's journey and taking the reader with him. Even the horse is treated with respect and understanding. Thanks for sharing, Debbie
