That is hilarious and so relatable! Great job creating something so funny and short that some of us laughed out loud. Loved it.

well, I can't tell you how much I appreciate that! I had two people tell me it wasn't funny at all. You have certainly made me feel better!

Did your sandal land on someone's head; probably you weren't sitting in the balcony. The movies always have an after effect of relaxation; I bet some even fall asleep.

Nice one indeed. It actually happens more than people can think. And can relate to it. It was funny for the friends who accompanied me but not for me!!!
Good luck for the contest

A good inventive 3-liner enhanced by perfect image. The verse perfectly adheres to the requirements but, while I found the post light-hearted and imaginative, the humour wasn't quite sufficient for me in this category. Thanks for sharing, Debbie

Hmmm... I understand the embarrassment, but I'm struggling to get the humour and since that was the whole point of the contest I've docked you a star. Is that too harsh?

Now if your sandal had ended up creating some sort of chaos in the theatre, or if your search for it meant you spilled your drink in someone's lap, that might have been funny. Perhaps the brevity of the format prevented you from giving more detail and hence the required chuckle.

thanks, Dolly! I appreciate that. You wouldn't believe the people who have just flat out said it wasn't funny and gave me fours. Oh well. I guess it wasn't.

Oh-oh! And it's dark in the movie theatre so I'm hoping the narrator finds her sandal! I can imagine it's more comfortable without it but searching for it would be a pain. Best wishes in the contest!

This shortie made me chuckle because I remember losing a shoe (more than once) while watching a movie in a theater with rows of seats that slanted downwards. If I was lucky, I'd find it between showings after the audience left. Rod

My friends liked to release tennis balls by their feet during the show and after the show see if they could find them near the screen.
