I'm afraid I missed understanding what your awesome joke was as the last line is ambiguous. Possibly you should have 'except' instead of 'accept' as the meanings are quite different:

According to internet...
Accept (pronounced [ak-sept]) is a transitive verb meaning to willingly receive, allow, or approve of something or someone. Except (pronounced [ek-sept] is mainly used as a preposition meaning "excluding" or "apart from."

So, do you wish you had a different life but are stuck with this one?... in which context the word should be 'except'.

Excellent, funny and, of course, making the reader smile. The image is perfect for the prompt and the verse with its accurate syllable count captures the mood with pithy wit reminding me a little of Oscar Wilde quotes. Well done and good luck, Debbie
