This was very well written, you managed to tell the reader so much with the choice words you used. The reader feels the pain and confusion the child is suffering.

Lea, a horrific and deeply personal story. No child should ever experience what you did. I don't know what it is, but somehow, these sex abusers find/choose children/victims that come from homes of neglect. Homes where no one is watching or caring. This is something that I've noticed about clergy who sexually abuse children. They know the children in their community who come from "problem" homes, and then they victimize them even more. Why? Because they can. Because no one will believe the child. Because there's no one at home who cares
about the child, or they are too many other problems at home, that a lot of things get overlooked or ignored. All of this is my humble opinion and watching, hearing, and reading about such things.
My dear Lea, you are, and have, probably suffered from PTSD. Not all PTSD is war related. I hope writing this story will help you recover and leave some of the horrific things that happened to you in the past.
You did an excellent job of telling the story, making your points, and still doing it in a "tasteful" way--not that you have anything to be ashamed of, but some reviewers may shy away from stories like yours.
I can understand how writing this is emotionally exhausting, and it takes a lot out of you. I'm saying this as a mom, try to do more than exhale, and give your mind and body sufficient time to mend in between chapters. FS members will still be here waiting for you.
Today you wrote something brave. God bless you, and may you find inner-peace. Margaret ~ LateBloomer

I am sorry to hear these things happened to you and I hope you can get some peace from writing. Pain can be a powerful tool for writing and some find writing to be healing.

So well written, a tale that continues. The writer's choice of apt imagery is very effective, and worked well for this reader. This story evokes the language of a survivor. I anticipate reading more such stories, keep on writing.

Was the father of the young Japanese boy your mother's new husband?
Were your siblings born at the time?
I guess all that abuse that you experienced made you fearless and perhaps even welcome that horrible accident. At least, in the hospital you didn't have to deal with those neighbors.
A heart-wrenching recalling of those horrible times.

You're gifted writer, Lea! I'm sorry I don't have the time to review your whole book as life will get busier for me. Also, the topic is very heavy. May God bring you full healing of those memories of the past as you bring them to light in writing. Blessings on your Christmas and all through the New Year!
Comment from Ric Myworld
Well, like most cowboys, so late in the week, I'm all out of bullets. I'm referring to stars. It's hard for a normal person, if any of us truly are, to imagine what kind of monsters would mistreat a child, much less a five-year-old. But sadly, freaks constantly scavenge for the innocent. Makes me wish I could be the pervert exterminator.

My heart really goes out to you with the story. I am impressed with your ability to write so well about a very disturbing time in your life. I wish that had never happened to you, but you seem to have overcome a great deal and have made something of yourself in spite of the difficulties. May God richly bless you and may others who read your story come to understanding their own problems. Patricia.

Thank you for an easy read. This short chapter has very good flow and pace, Very good showing rather then just telling.
You keep the reader wanting to ask for more and makes them think.
Good job.

To start I noticed a few missed punctuations, a few misspellings... I did not note them.
No notes as I was captivated by your story. Well delivered and detailed. I am sorry for your experiences, but I am glad you are using your voice.
I am on a different path, yet eerily the same. I speak on my PTSD for others, as you are doing here.
Good luck, I wish you all the best with this.

Thank you so much, I appreciate you reading. I'm a new writer. My first book sometimes messed up on pumptuation. So when anyone sees it and points it out. I'm always happy to see comments and make corrections. I appreciate you reading. I understand some can be difficult. So thank you very much and thank you for your review. Hope you have a great night!

This is extremely well written and I'm out of sizes already because I've been reading through the night. You deserve more than sixes anyway. You serve a trophy.
With these horrible memories you have you can and will change this for other young girls. You could save yourself then but you can save yourself and others, now. Girls will one day read and tell on those hurting them. Mom's will read and realize their new boyfriends or husbands need to leave! You are doing a lot of good by writing this!! Keep going!!
With love & friendship,
Alexandra
