Excellent entry for the 1-6-1 poem writing prompt contest .

I like the presentation too. Concrete images easy to visualize.

Good syllables count and connection between lines.

Goodluck

This is a good entry into the 1-6-1 Contest. The text is a great size. The message is clearly stated and easily understood. I love the sound of old church bells or the bells from old courthouses.
Your text is balanced well in the poem box. The visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.

You met the 1-6-1 poem requirements well and focused on the ringing of the church tower bells. They can have a calming feeling as the bells are rung with measured predictability. Best wishes in the contest!

What is it about OLD church bells that stir our emotions?
Yes, they do indeed "sing," sometimes several times a day.
This old English teacher declares you do NOT need the comma in line 2.

Church bells do happen to Bing and ring daily if you pull the rope. Church bells are also rung when it is the end or beginning of a church service. Many parents use a bell to call their youngster in for lunch or dinner. Like your poem.

That's something you don't see or hear very often anymore. I can't think of a church around us that rings a bell, and that's sad. What a wonderfully written poem. I wish I had a six for you.

Good luck in the contest!
Have a grat day, and God bless.
