Another good poem that could use some fine tuning. You have a really good rhyme combination with the last two lines. Looking forward to more of your stuff.

Thanks Paul for rating this poem.Even my partner who hates spiders thought it was a good one. Well, I hope I can keep the standard up. You are only as good as your last piece of work- something like that.
Cheers

I would never go near a spider as they do have a nasty bite. And they can be poisonous if you do not know what kind they are...brown recluse is very dangerous. But you did great work in writing this poem.

Congratulations on you well deserved contest win. Your entry was creative, humorous and witty, with perfect unforced rhymes. Most people don't like spiders, but as you stated, they are the master minds of all insects. Great job.

Mary,
Thanks for taking the time to read and review my poem. It won the competition and I am so glad you and others enjoyed the read. Spiders do not get a lot of favourable reviews.
Take care and all the best.

This is a great poem and I really enjoyed it. I know what you mean about tearing down spider webs. It's been my experience that the spiders that seem to go out of their way to bite you are those that walk about. Those that stay in their webs are more homebodies.
