I enjoyed this poem very much. The highest compliment I know to give another writer in a review is I wish I had written this. Very nice job. Good luck in the contest.

This verse explores the tragedy of Pearl Harbor.
In a poetic metre, you describe the events as they unfolded.
Despite the horror of the war, your unique word choices and rhymes create the rhythmic punch much like the blues.
Which is consistent with the theme.

I was four years old when Pearl Harbor was hit. While in the navy
in 1958, I saw part of the horror of that day. Ships that were hit was still in the water. Ss the song goes, "Why is Everybody always picking on us?" Willie

You have done a wonderful job with the writing prompt and written a lovely tribute to all those who died on that terrible day. Your artwork is perfect for the subject of the writing. Best of luck in the contest.
