This post was fun to read. You have a great imagination! Thank you for sharing this story. I think Terry Twinklestar did a good job with the plan for Santa. Glad you took care of Texas because a lot of us have been really good this year! Good luck with the contest! Sarah

"Old retired guy" has caught the Christmas spirit! Another fun story. That's two in a row where your good friend, Jeff, plays a part. Thanks for the read and getting me into the spirit!

Who doesn't love Santa stories at Christmas time? I love getting into the spirit and there were some fun moments in this. My favourite is the Rudolf revelation that there are many Rudolf's who have retired and also that they don't actually play reindeer games but form the Marshals. These sweet little adaptations are fun! My question to you is: who do you see as your audience? Is it predominantly adults here on FS? Children? I felt it sat sort of in between. Some of the detail around technical issues "modus operandi" would be well over children's heads or interest levels but if for adults, then I think you could ham some of it up more to dig more at politics and local/global issues and include a little less content that kids would enjoy. But perhaps it's just a fun write for you and I'm being to critical... please disregard if so! It is a fun read with lots to like!

You big kid, you. Ilove that you did a fun, imaginative Christmas story complete with Santa and Jeff Bezos. I always suspected Bezos of being in cahoots with someone but I was sure it was an executive from UPS. This was a fun read. Great job. Gretchen

First of all, hands down, from what I've read so far, this should be the winner. Secondly, and this is funny, at least to me! Believe it or not, there's not a lot of difference between yours and mine, except a huge difference in length. It will take about another week before mine is ready to post. Both are sci-fi and, as such, yours is closer to what is possible. And lastly, yours is more relatably light and fun. Mine is fun in its way, but not light.
Yours blew my mind when I read it. It made what is entirely magical, somehow seem plausible in a cockamamie way. Please, promise me that long about September of next year, you will start submitting yours to the magazines. It is that good.

Even Santa has gone high tech in order to keep up with competition. And speaking of competition, it looks like 32 votes isn't enough to be #1 on this site in recent times. LOL. What has this Fanstory world come to. Thanks for sharing.

Doesn't Tiny Tim belong in every Christmas story? This was a lot of fun to read. Love the Amazon meets Elves and technology slant! Oh my gosh! I was recently reading that Rudolph would have had to be a girl because male reindeer shed their antlers prior to mid-December... Or, (ouch) the other alternative would have been castration and that just doesn't seem like a good trade for a "very shiny nose." Not in my book. I hardly think Bezos would go for it either!
(Although PROFIT drives EVERYTHING these days, HO HO HO!

I have to commend you on this story. You had me from word one till the end. Santa wanted to upgrade and be more current with any and all technique available to him and at his disposal. From Amazon technology to Jeff Bezo's Blue Origin you incorporated the modern era.
This is a heavyweight contender in this contest for sure.
Best of luck.
Cheers, John

This is a cute story. I have often wondered how Santa gets around to so many places in one night. The worm hole to refill the gift sack makes perfect sense. This sounds like it would make a great, illustrated children's book. Think about it!

I wondered how it was possible for only eight reindeer to make it around the world in one night - hard to believe since that would be so exhausting.
I wonder if Santa could spare some of his Santa Magic for NASA - I've heard those worm holes are the wave of future space travel.
I'm so happy that Santa and Co. set a fastest delivery record - now if he could find a way to give every single child a toy, that would be great. Perhaps in 2023.
Fun Christmas story, Terry. Or should I say Terry Twinklestar?
