I like the use of your daisy theme both in the picture and in the words. I remember doing that as a kid, he loves me not. I had one relationship in college of unrequited love. Definitely painful. Then I found the love of my life.

Thank you very much for reading and reviewing, I really appreciate it. I?m glad you found the love of your life! I wouldn?t wish the unrequited on anyone. I hope you have a wonderful day.

I adore how you used the petal-pulling metaphor to juxtapose with the throwing away of unrequited love! Magical and unbelievably inspired. The other juxtaposition that was brilliant was the use of beautiful imagery and diction alongside the melancholy darkness of hurt and pain. Wow! Another excellent piece!

Thank you very much for reading and reviewing! I really appreciate your time and the kind words. I completely rewrote it a few times, but the daisy was the image that stayed. I think stripped down it made the most sense. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I hope you have a wonderfuld ay.

A well-stated poem. I like how you used parts of a plant/flower to show how your love was disregarded. We all remember, the love or love me not flower petal game. The visual reinforces the memory of the petal game. Good luck in the contest.

A nice twist on the poem that all young girls were brought up on plucking daisies. I have shredded many for men who never even knew I existed. Thanks for sharing. Kate xx
