Verna, this is delightful, and is full of fun and so comical, even as we can all relate.
It is so funny that we both wrote about Holidays. This is certainly worthy of a six! Anyway, funny poem my dear friend and great writing and fun reading experience for us all.

Let me apologize for not giving better individual feedback the first time.
I liked your poem because you rhymed it with a 2-4; 2-4 rhyme pattern. That is one of the classics. It takes a lot of thought to follow rhyming patterns. I'm not really a fan of poems that don't rhyme, but I would never tell someone their poem had to rhyme. I even rhyme my haiku, which you're not supposed to do. There I go again!
Best lines:
"It might have been the pie.
I'm not quite certain what it was.
I think I'm gonna die."

Thanks, Dear, for the review. I think I always suffer when I eat too much, but I find as I get older, I don't need to eat as much as I used to.

lol, this sounds like me, every time I'm allowed within ten feet of a roast dinner. I love every part of a celebration feast and I must have some of everything (then a bit more bread sauce and stuffing!). I just wish the regret afterwards lasted me a year! Many thanks for entering my little contest :-)
