Thank you for sharing this with us. Some of this, I knew, and had forgotten and some of this was completely new to me.

David betrayed by his trusted counselor Ahitophel (Psalm 41:9 and Psalm 55:12-14, (missing ')'. )

This is an interesting way to link the Old Testament with the New Testament. I'm wide-eyed at the list of similarities between David and Jesus, especially the symbolic use of stones to slay Goliath. Interesting too is that the number 3 plays an important part. One of my college professors pointed out the use of 3 in fairy tales i.e. three little pigs, three bears, etc.

You should do your posting on Sunday, so you can get more of the six stars. They don't last long. Great job as always, and I enjoyed reading. Have a great weekend. Shirley

I've gotten to the point where I find myself waiting for your next chapter and have even been trying to find the time to go and read some of the links you supply. Thanks for sharing. I never was one to study anything. LOL.

Most of what you have related in this chapter is thing I was unaware of. I do remember from the Bible that Christ's disciples believed that Christ would be an earthly king. I had never heard that David was a member of the nine worthies. I wondered where that information came from. I'm enjoying this series of chapters.

David was a young shepherd chosen by God for his pure heart. Who first gained fame as a musician, and later killed Goliath. First of all, the church or house of worship looks like something from heaven. Thank you for such an intriguing story. Keep up the great work.
