This is sumptuous, K. The thought comes, "something to be tasted, but left to linger on the palate.
The form, a Sonnet, maybe. Seems to delightfully long for that, but I'm no authority. I'm not one of the poetry police. But I know I simply must read something that begins:
"My love is a gardenia between silk sheets".
One line gave me pause:
"A hollow center of fired clay left to set in" [Is the clay pot something to set something in? Or to sit in.]
Thank you, K, for brightening my day.

Thank you very much for reading and reviewing. That line was the one I got seriously stuck on, so I'm not surprised it came out muddled. I'll have to look it over again. I don't think of it as a sonnet, considering its rhyming is all over the place. I enjoyed it. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Wow! This was so beautiful and moving. It flowed so well, and such wonderful language and decisions you made for this piece of work. You are clearly gifted. Best of luck and congratulations!
