Let me explain, Muslims and Jews are under the impression that they don't have the same father. The distinction is this: Abraham at the beginning had Ishmael but his mother was from Egypt(the Nimrod nation) and their nations borders are not the same. Then thirteen years later comes Isaac, the celebration of his birth came as a joint union for Sarah who was the primary wife and Hagar which was the secondary wife. As Hagar was a servant, her son could not have a part of Abraham's estate. Sarah would inherit all that belonged to Abraham. So the issue is that Ismael is not recognized as such and the fight goes on today. Islamic faith is slightly different because of the decree given to Ham, the son of Noah. Now this is the 21st century for us, but this is the first century for them. They are the fatherless spoken of because of their father mocking the way of the LORD GOD and they sit in the seat of the scornful. So your encounter is valid in a way, because the decree for Isaac is that through his generation comes recognition from his father Abraham. Hope this helps....
