Hi Liz,
So, here it is Monday. How is Lauren doing now? And the other question remains, will you catch this miserable virus? It doesn't sleep. No breathers. Always looking for its next victim. Just want you to know, my wife and I are praying for you and your family and friends. Many, many people beat this old bug. I hope Lauren's case will be a mild one, and over before you know it. Thanks for letting us know.
Hugs,
Kimbob

Thanks for your continued concern. She's feeling continually worse, as is often the case. Sucks for her, but good news for me--I tested negative and am cleared to go on per usual, no restrictions, other than I steer clear of her.

Liz, I'm really sorry about this whole thing. Thank you for sharing what's going on.
I know you're not a believer, but many are praying for Lauren, anyway. I was directed here by a link, at the bottom of Helen's post, requesting prayer for multiple people and their loved ones on FanStory.
I didn't know that your daughter Lauren has MS. I'm very sorry about that, too -- unfortunately the juxtaposition of her treatment (which you described above) and her Covid diagnosis aren't good, but let's hope for a good outcome. Many unvaccinated people have come through this, with mild symptoms -- I know she had the Ocrevus infusion, but I had other things working against me, when I contracted Covid in March 2020 (when there weren't any vaccinations), and here I am. I'm diabetic and I have asthma and hypertension; I fought it off and won. My husband has a heart condition, and when he got Covid from me, his case was really mild.... I know, it's anecdotal, but there's a lot of hope, and we're praying. I hope Lauren feels better, very soon!
I know about the Corona Quiz; very well said -- I've taken it numerous times.
Btw, I don't know if this helps at all, but when I had the virus, I ate a lot of citrus fruits, drank lots of fluids and didn't try to artificially lower my temperature. It went up and down like crazy, but I believe that fevers serve a purpose, namely, killing germs, and apart from occasional ibuprofen to soothe the muscle aches, I let my fever do its job.
Three caveats: (1) If my fever would have gone dangerously high -- like 103° -- I would have taken acetaminophen; (2) I later learned that ibuprofen and other NSAIDs are contraindicated for Covid. I don't know where I read this, but they can make it worse. Acetaminophen is better. (3) One last thing -- your daughter having MS could change how she reacts to high fevers, so you may want to check with your doctor, before heeding my advice!
Sending great big hugs to you both.

Thanks for concern and for the tips! Fingers crossed. My mind has turned to mush.

Awww I send my love to you, dear Liz! Btw, Lauren is a beautiful name for a daughter -- I think you told me their ages (or maybe shared them in a story) but I didn't know their names. I have two cousins named Lauren: first, and first/once removed (yes, I keep track of such things, lol). Something all good moms have in common, is their tremendous love for their children. I can't say "all moms" because some people don't deserve to have kids, I'm sure you've heard those sad stories. You're obviously a very loving mother. I've got a gem of a mother, who I thank God for. Keep doing what you're doing. God bless you both.
Love, Mary Kay xoxo xoxo xoxo
    P.S. Your mind will rejuvenate.

Oh .that is unfortunate.now you also should follow the quarantine protocol.here the norm says that the positive person should stay inside the room.
Is the procedure painful?
Take care both of you

She mostly stays in her room. She feels lousy and is worried it will get worse, as it often does several days in--she just informed me of that disturbing fact.

It is true. The fear will be there I went through that

How is Lauren's health progressing? There's a horrible irony in an unvaccinated person getting covid from a vaccinated nurse. Personally, I am avoiding any situations that are jam-packed.

Oh, no I'm so sorry to hear that about your daughter I know how the Coronella seems to be harsher on people that are not vaccinated or that has an immunocompromised system. I hope everything will be okay for your entire family.

I appreciate your heartfelt words. Fingers crossed as to Lauren's recovery. She's been sleeping all day--I don't want to wake her--I'm surprised the dog hasn't by now! Hope I dodge the bullet--too soon to tell.

I am so, so sorry to hear Lauren tested positive. I, too take an immunosuppressant because of a compromising disorder and know how cautious and careful Lauren has been. Doctors are still doing a bit of guess work when deciding who should be vaccinated and who should receive various treatments. I believe in prayer and will keep both you and Lauren in my prayers, that your next post about Lauren will be positive.

Liz,

Bless her heart! I can imagine what her symptoms may be like having to deal with both AND under the effects of the Ocrevus treatments. I hope she stands up to it all okay. Sending prayers your way!

Thanks for letting us know. So sorry!

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter Elizabeth. A covid Story is one that no writer wants to write about when it concerns a family member being sic. To have MS to doesn't make things easy. I'm definitely wishing the best for you and your daughter. This is a story directly from the heart and deserves a six star rating. I am honored as always that you chose one of my images to grace your personal story. My prayers are wit you 100%. I'm hoping that your daughter comes thru this fine! HUgs!!!! :o) Nancy aka Helvi2

Oh no, Liz. I will pray for your daughter. I know from what you have shared here about her health issues. Since she and you are in the same house, you take care of YOU. Other than this setback, is Lauren doing better?
Respectfully, Jan
