This is an interesting, thought provoking poem. I find your choice of words unusual. Why are the slums dear to you, when you obviously consider them murderous? Much to ponder here. Good luck in the contest.

They're not all that 'dear' but that's how the contest sponsor wants us to start the piece out. The hugs and kisses is just being sarcastic. LoL. Thank you for the great review and stars, Katherine.
