A very well-written poem. I love the rhythm and rhyme that make your poem flow easily. The color of the background goes well with the winter theme. I like the picture that you used too. I only went ice skating once in my life. I was in the fifth grade and my mom went out and bought me a brand new pair of skates so I could go with my brother and some friends. I was out on the ice no longer than fifteen minutes before I fell and broke my ankle. That was the end of my skating career. LOL Good luck with the contest!

Beautiful poem. I love your descriptions of the month of December. Its one of my favorite times of year. Even though the metre is uneven it doesnt matter at all because your words are so captivating. Pretty illustration too

This is a delightful poem about December and Christmas. I still remember my childhood when my brother and our friends and I used to play outside and do all the things you describe in your poem. I live in the country and I'm sad to say that we seldom see children outside playing now, winter or summer. The do play outside at recess but I seldom just see them out. I hope that one day they will realize how much fun can be had without a video game or smart phone. Good luck in the contest.
