Hi Debra,
This beautiful short poem says so much! Very cute with the sleeping muse on HER crescent moon. Darling portrayal. I am sure she will have a lot to say when she wakes, lol.
All the best in the contest :))

Hi Debra,
This is a terrific entry for the Four Line Poetry contest. I enjoyed it, along with the artwork. In fact, I think that's my muse asleep on the edge of the moon. About time she woke up! My posts are getting farther and farther apart. How does one wake up their muse?
Good Luck in the contest!
Strange that the cat is more interested in the stars than the goldfish, eh?
Hugs,
Kimbob

Hi Kimbob :)
Thanks for your lovely feedback - glad you enjoyed the poem.
I came across the artwork and just had to use it, it's so pretty!
Great observation about the cat's attention being on the stars rather than the fish. I hadn't noticed! LOL
Thanks for the good luck wishes too...
Best wishes as always, Debra x

A tour de force of alliteration and assonance in S---stunning imagery--a fine entry for the contest--on a theme we writers can relate. Wake up and stay awake!

Well, pretty lady, you have charmed my sox off with this sweet poem. I think it will be great in this contest. Your artwork is something I would love to have on my wall! It is everything I find relaxing and soothing. Good work and you look just like the lady in the picture...only prettier!

Comment from Gloria ....
I take this to mean that the muse has officially been awakened. This is a fine entry into the four line poem contest.
Each line sings with the senses, and we end on the important one for poetry--hearing.
Wishing you great luck with the Committee. :)

We have to be patient sometimes and wait for the inspiration and when it comes it happens with such force that we write all day and all night as the voice must be heard, much enjoyed Debra and there is nothing wrong with your muse just now, love Dolly x

Sensational poem because it evokes the senses in just four lines! A lovely offering in short verse and aptly illustrated, dear Debra. Sending you my best today as always,

Debra,
Absolutely. Eerie and strange how our muses can go through periods of awkward hibernation. OR switch roles. For example, my prose muse has disappeared from view entirely. --sigh--
Thanks for the smile!

Thank you, Robyn, for your lovely feedback. Hope your prose muse shows up soon (although your poetry muse is in good shape!)

Thank you for the lovely poem and and picture and the fun depiction of our "muse" which can be just dozing off somewhere when we need her help. But you assure us that when she wakes up, she'll share what to write. A delightful poem for writers. Best wishes in the contest!
