This poem is writing as trauma therapy at its best. You write over and over again, trying desperately to integrate that horrible and tragic memory and event. There are some arresting phrases in the poem--The eyes of Hazel Gray?

"The Eyes of Hazel Gray"
That basically means and represents what happens when you're in a serious car accident is if shaking severely resulting in being raccoons or having your eyes sealed, closed, and swollen.
