I wish to ask a question; why write "stars below"?
It would have been equally acceptable to write "stars above". Was there a special reason behind the word choice?

Hi, Bonnie. Thanks for the question. It's a play on words, because typically people say "stars above." But these are "stars" on the ground.

I changed the wording to "Just like stars below." Thanks for the suggestion.

Oh, I wrote about these, too! My neighbor has those star flowers under her cedar tree. She offered me to dig some up to try to see if they transplant. They really spread!
I like how your poem shows these "stars" shine below in the dark. Good wishes in the contest!

Thanks, lyenochka! Yeah, I thought they were beautiful, and wondered if I could transplant them too. Now that you tell me they spread.... maybe I don't want to! I'm dealing with lamium right now -- a kind of relative of the mint-family that someone planted in the yard before we moved in. It's spreading ALL OVER! It's horrible! Thanks for the review and the tip about their invasiveness!

Isn't it funny how something can go from lovely to horrid just because of invasiveness? I've got oregano and fortget-me-nots spreading like dandelions.

I have myosotis too! I didn't plant them, but yeah, they are multiplying in the front yard. I like them though. The lamium keeps them at bay. Oregano. Yum! I can't get that to grow in my yard. Too shady. :(
