I so clearly remember American Bandstand...your Top Favorites Jukebox Series is bringing back a lot of good memories, Sally. I even watched Jazz Singer recently...its a bit dated now, but I still love Neil Diamond just as much. (I'd love to know your favorite movies, as well. My top three favorites...all equal...are Groundhog Day, Somewhere in Time, and the Age of Adeline.) xo

I watched American Bandstand every Saturday morning. It used to frustrated Mom, but she never stopped us. I enjoyed Neil Diamond and remember every word of this song. Thank you.

You really took me back to memory lane with the American Bandstand piece. My mom and I used to watch that together almost every Saturday afternoon together when I was a teen. I was 15 on March 4, 1967. Thanks so much for sharing. And, what's not to love about Neil Diamond?

I have always fallen in love with old music to the point that some people around think I am as old as the songs I love to sing. Your narrative was superb and gave some relevant details about Neil Diamond. Never heard about him though might have listened to one of his songs. Will check him out on YouTube. Lol!

You know, I was only 16 in 1967, but I don't remember this song at all. That's peculiar. I wasn't a huge fan of Neil Diamond, but I did enjoy "Sweet Caroling", "Cracklin' Rosie", and "Forever in Blue Jeans". Here's a video where Big Bang's Howard and Amy sing a few of Neil's greatest hits... Enjoy!
