Patricia, I am having a difficult time believing that God would lead you down this path..... but we all face our faith in different ways and just because your thoughts and beliefs don't fit the picture I see, it doesn't mean it is wrong. I have no right to judge what you think. I will just pray that you are reading the signs correctly and in the end all things will be as God wanted for you. Smiles, Carol

Thank you, Carol. I've learned to listen every day, so even if I take a wrong turn, I'll hear about it and God will lead me in the right direction. I appreciate your comments and review.

I have gone by the word of God since I was a new Christian, because when one isn't sure exactly the path that God, I know He won't allow me to be tempted above that which I'm able, and He tells me my human heart is deceitful above all things, and dreadfully wicked, (Jeremiah 17:9) so in a sense it would be like God telling me to jump off a cliff to prove He wouldn't allow me to die. As both drugs and gambling are addictive and hedonism it's impossible for me to believe you. . I also know when a Christian says "God told me" then I'm non-plussed I've heard it many times, and it's been disaster for the declarer! I'm really concerned now, because you don't have the backup of a brother or sister. Your husband doesn't know scripture, but I do, dear girl. Bless you, I'll pray, blessings Roy

Roy, I understand your concern. I appreciate your prayers. God does speak to His friends. Even if we get it wrong sometimes, we should still expect to hear from Him. When I can do nothing without Him, my joy will be complete. That can't happen if He doesn't show me the way to go. Losing at the casino isn't a disaster for me, but it is for my husband. God could take everything Gary has, and it would be a disaster for him, but not for me. God has a purpose, and anything on this earth is dross to me and everything with God and His Kingdom is my reward. Thank you for your prayers. Patricia

It's not up to me, Roy. Even if Gary doesn't believe, I've realized over the years when God wants to take us down a road, Gary can't resist. Gary is sanctified because of my belief. Gary's God is money. He has often said he would kill himself if he ran out of money. At any point on this path, he could change his mind and not go back to the casino. When I read my newest chapter to him, which I plan to do today, it will bother him that he took me back there. I believe it will bother him if I lose my winnings; he wanted me to have that. It might be enough to end this. Either way, God is in control: not me and not Gary. I love your concern, and I'm glad for our fellowship and discussions. Patricia

I have never gone to a casino so I can't even begin to comment or relate to this. In any case, I think it's best to always begin with prayer and trust God. I personally think if I ever won, I'd never go back to lose the winnings. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting chapter that brings God to a very human plane and how he might reacted. And your interpretation is important as you open to your readers your point of view. This situation brings to my memory an anecdote from my brother and his final examination at University. Teacher asked: If God rolled a die, what would be the number that He would get? That would be the grade that I would give you for this exam. My Brother's answer was: "God does not play dices." He was approved.

I agree. He has a master plan. We may not like it or understand it, but He is in control and he will carry it through. I enjoyed your post. I remember the earlier first one. This one flowed well and was easy to see what was happening. I like the way you accepted His plan. Thanks for sharing.
