Thank fdid stating this is a tanka about Spring's arrival...as so many are stuck in Winter's wrath. I live in Florida and it is in the 70's now. Sometimes I miss the real seasons...but, not that much.

On to your poem...It's nicely presented. I like the alliteration with "sweetly singing." Personally I might use a more unusual word to replace "colorful" like resplendent or 'prismatic'
