Good luck with your writing prompt entry. Loved the letterbox to compliment your letter to God. Interesting, kids write to Santa and have a special mailing box too. God knows our needs and we do too. He knows when we are sad, or when we stumble and fall. God knows our very all.

I loved the message in this poem. One need not be at a church to communicate with God. I awaken every morning and silently ask "What can I do for YOU today God?"-- There is great comfort in faith. I used to tell my children as they grew older and balked at "nightly prayers" said with Mom... "It's okay, you have a direct line to God--he's always listening." I see by your sweet poem he is always reading too! We have something in common. I was married on Columbus day too!-- Grace filled write--Karenina

I didn't like the movie either... I'm an avid reader and most times the movie doesn't hold up to the original book....Karenina

I am in total agreement.
Have a great day!

Brigitte:
This is a wonderful letter to God, one we should all
ask to borrow so we can send it, too. No, God did
not create any of the bad here on earth - we did that
all on our own. Good luck in the contest.

A well written and devoted letter to the Lord. He is with us always. Sometimes it's how I get through difficult things just knowing He's there gives me strength. I don't think I'd want to be trying to navigate this world without Him. God bless!

What a lovely letter to God. I am sure He is very pleased with it. I especially like the way you closed it:
Unequivocally yours
from birth till death!
Your humble servant.
I too, hope to always be "unequivocally" His!
Thank you for sharing.

Brigitte,
This leter/prayer in mainly aabb quatrains tells us of your faith. And also reminds us that despite our failings we are, and always will be, loved. The answers we get aren't always understood but are meant for our best.
Keep writing and stay healthy

Brigitte - this is a lovely poem with strong rhetoric that I think would lend itself nicely to a modern day hymn. This is a good entry for the topic, and the image and coloration are eye-catching. Thank you for sharing.

So beautifully said, Brigitte. Sometimes we let life run away with us and forget that without the blessings of our Lord, we would really not achieve anything worthwhile. I really enjoyed every word of your poem. Thank you for sharing. Smiles to you!
